Nate is a Project Engineer and a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) with a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Maine, with a concentration in water resources. Nate is well versed in the latest FEMA and NFIP regulations and the impact on local floodplain management strategies and mapping updates. Nate is based out of Acorn’s western Maine office in Kingfield.
He has professional experience with community resiliency and flood mitigation projects, H&H modeling, stormwater retrofits, MDEP 3PI inspections, and a range of civil/site design ranging from urban infill to large subdivision projects. He is well versed in local, state, and federal permitting including local floodplain management permits, MDEP stormwater and natural resource permits, and ACOE permitting. He is involved in a number of volunteer and professional organizations including the Franklin County Soil & Water District and the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM).
In his free time, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife and son, being with family, hitting the links, and rooting on the Packers in the fall.
