Finn’s role as a Project Engineer with Acorn Engineering, Inc. keeps each day exciting as he coordinates with internal and external team partners and clients on a variety of site civil projects throughout Maine. His combined 6+ years of experience in the civil engineering field ranges from StreamSmart crossing design to urban redevelopment, and from multi-acre commercial site design to renewable energy planning. When not in the office working on the regulatory permitting and civil and stormwater design aspects of projects, Finn enjoys his time in the field providing MaineDEP third-party stormwater and erosion control inspections, as well as construction-phase quality assurance inspections.
Finn is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maine and holds a BS from The University of Maine and a MS from the University of Vermont, each in Civil & Environmental Engineering. The projects Finn values most are those which enhance their users’ lives through enhancing engagement with natural spaces, enriching social connectivity, and providing stable and resilient infrastructure.
Outside of work, it’s not often that Finn is standing still, and you’re most likely to see him in trail running shoes, on cross country skis, on a bike, or in a canoe. Finn can be found in any number of places, Maine and beyond, enjoying time spent with friends, family, and the out-of-doors.
