Resident Construction Inspector – Class IV

Job description

Now accepting applications for Class IV Resident Inspector positions. The Class IV Resident Inspector will be responsible for single or multiple projects. We are looking for an Inspector who is experienced in one or more of the following specialties: roadway, bridge, marine facilities, rail facilities or building inspections. Overnight and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities and Duties

A minimum of 4 years MaineDOT inspection experience
NETTCP paving certification required
ACI concrete cert preferred
Knowledge of Maine DOT standards
Valid driver’s license; daily use of candidate’s personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursed
Overnight and weekend work may be required

Qualifications and Skills

A minimum 2 years’ experience in construction inspection
NETTCP paving certification
ACI concrete certification preferred
Knowledge of Maine DOT standards preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions to perform tasks independently and produce neat and accurate reports
Commitment to working with integrity and in an ethical manner
Ability to maintain safe work practices in a fast-paced work environment
Dependable and willing to work 10+ hours per day
