Acorn was retained by the Town of Naples for engineering services relating to the replacement and design of two culvert crossings. Acorn provided engineering, permitting, and construction oversight services for the replacement of the two crossings. The project replaced two 5’ diameter culverts at one crossing and another two 3.8’ diameter culverts at the other to improve wildlife habitat, public safety and reduce flood risk to the local community. The existing corrugated metal culverts were replaced with open bottom arched concrete culverts that meet Maine DEP StreamSmart crossing design guidelines.
