As a design engineer at Acorn, Kris primarily assists in the civil/site, utility, and stormwater design of many different project and provides support services to senior staff. Kris has obtained B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Maine, with concentrations in water resources and coastal engineering. In his graduate research, Kris studied the impacts of a changing climate on the dynamics of Maine estuaries. At Acorn, his recent contributions include assisting in the design and modeling for a stream restoration plan for a portion of Phillips Brook in Scarborough, as well as the replacement of two stream crossings along Bartlett Brook in Naples.
Kris spends his time outside of work exploring the Maine outdoors by kayak when it’s warm and on skis when it’s cold.
